Elementary students learn about wind through reading and activities that focus on observation and inquiry. Students will learn to measure wind speed and direction, they will investigate how wind does work, including the ability to lift materials and generate electricity. The kit comes with a Teacher Guide, a class set of Student Guides, and the materials necessary to conduct the activities, including one KidWind Weightlifter Turbine and one KidWind Basic Turbine. This lesson is approximately eleven 45-minute class periods.
